05 - 0.7 oz crushed freeze-dried raspberries (optional)
06 - 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional)
# How to make it:
01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
03 - Pour melted dark chocolate onto the prepared sheet and spread with a spatula into a 1/4 inch thick rough rectangle.
04 - Refrigerate for 10 minutes until the dark chocolate is set but not fully hardened.
05 - Melt the white chocolate using the same method as the dark; stir in peppermint extract if using.
06 - Pour melted white chocolate over the chilled dark layer and spread evenly.
07 - Immediately sprinkle crushed peppermint candies and optional garnishes over the white chocolate, pressing lightly to adhere.
08 - Chill the entire assembly for 20 to 30 minutes until fully set.
09 - Break or cut the hardened bark into irregular shards for serving.
10 - Arrange shards loosely on a large wooden board, allowing guests to help themselves.
