01 - 1 pound rigatoni

# How to make it:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 - Boil rigatoni in salted water until slightly under al dente, about 2 minutes less than package instructions. Drain and set aside.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage, break it up, and cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
04 - In the same skillet, add onion and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
05 - Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
06 - Return cooked sausage to skillet and mix thoroughly with the sauce.
07 - In a large bowl, toss the rigatoni with the sausage and pepper sauce until evenly coated.
08 - Spread half the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Layer remaining pasta on top and finish with remaining cheeses.
